Price Units
When pricing your order, we use the following rules:
translations and proofreading, text transcriptions
The basic unit for translation services is one standard page (SP). The number of standard pages is determined as follows:
(the number of words + the number of character excluding spaces ) / 1800.
- The resulting number of standard pages is rounded to one decimal point.
- The minimum order size is 0.5 SP. Minimum orders do not apply to returning clients.
- For texts in MS Excel and Power Point, one standard page equals 250 words. There are no surcharges for these formats.
- In languages using special characters such as Chinese, the scope of your order is calculated based on the text in alphabetical script (such as English).
If required, a different pricing formula can be agreed upon, such as per line, source or target word, etc.
certified translations
Certified translations are also charged per standard page. The minimum amount here is one standard page.
- Multiple counterparts (original copies) of certified translations, apostilles and notarized photocopies are charged per actual page.
interpreting
The minimum number of hours charged for interpreting is 4. For an assignment shorter than 2 hours, an hourly rate can be negotiated. For events longer than 4 hours, a daily rate is applied. One day of interpreting (8 hours) also includes all breaks and interruptions.
- Please note that transportation costs will be charged for events held outside the interpreter’s place of residence; the client will arrange (pay) for the interpreter’s accommodation for events lasting more than one day.
- Prices for simultaneous interpreting do not include interpreting equipment.
audio/video transcriptions, DTP
